The desired DNA of a Ridgecrest member is service to God and service to others. Our goal at Ridgecrest is to take each of our members from today’s prevalent attitude of “I will serve me” to Jesus’ desired attitude for His followers of “I live to serve.” We do this because it is the command and heart of Jesus Christ for His followers. We do this because our world desperately needs to see the followers of Jesus demonstrating His love to them. We do this because we have found it to bring an overflowing fountain of joy and purpose to the lives of the followers who live it out.
In order to understand what type of service God is calling each of us to do we use the following acrostic to demonstrate the things that go into determining where each of should serve God and serve others.
Spiritual Gifts – those gifts God gives through His Holy Spirit to empower you for service
Experiences – those events God allows which mold you into a servant leader
Relational Style – behavioral traits God uses to give you a leadership style
Vocational skills – those abilities you have gained through training and experience
Enthusiasm - that passion God has put in your heart for a certain ministry to others
There are many places of service provided so that everyone can be a part of the call of God to serve. We are also open to new ministries that God lays on the hearts of our members that will provide even more opportunities to serve God and serve others.
