Crest Kids
Transforming New Generations of Children through Christ
Come and join the fun!
A wide range of service opportunities are available within Crest Kids (CK), both in gifting/talent and time commitment. Listed below are a few key areas for you to consider. If you need additional information, please contact the Crest Kids Office at 601.853.1090.
Teachers: As a Crest Kids "teacher" your focus is on loving the kids and teaching the lesson. Almost all of the prep work is done for you ahead of time. A rotation plan allows you to have one Sunday off each month. This is a great place to serve as a couple.
Mentors: Opportunity to mentor (with another adult) a small group (8-10) of children in a small group/large group setting; responsible for teaching your small group, alternating with large group time led by actors or a master teacher; all detailed lessons and materials are supplied to you; you supply the leadership and love.
Leadership Team: Provide leadership, encouragement and support to Crest Kids teachers and assist in managing the operation of Crest Kids on Sunday morning. Other opportunities include administrative or curriculum support and require 2 - 4 hours during the week.
Actors: Unique opportunity to use your gifting to serve approximately 15 times a year; responsibilities range from "teaching" the key lesson point through a memorized script to small, fun parts that support the regular acting team; also, skilled puppeteers or people interested in becoming a puppet pro are needed as part of the regular acting teams.
Worship: Join a great team of Worship Leaders who are teaching our Preschool and Elementary (1st - 3rd Grade) children to Worship for 20 -25 minutes on Sunday Morning.
Substitute Teacher / Floater - Be available to fill in for Crest Kids teachers who need to be gone for a Sunday or two.
