Connect is the first step in the process of “making fully devoted followers.”  We believe that if you were a Christian prior to joining Ridgecrest, and have experience, and training in a ministry, then God has brought you here to fill a place of ministry. God did not call you here to sit and soak. Our purpose as a church is not to swap members with other churches. Our purpose is to connect with non-believers and unchurched people in order to make disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and to teach them the commandments of Jesus.  If you are a new believer it is the church’s responsibility to nurture you in your Christian life and equip you for serving Jesus Christ.  Henry Blackaby says that churches should look carefully at the people God is sending to them, because they will define what God wants done. 

While God has specific people which He has placed in your life for you to be His witness, there are random people in the community that He wants to know His kind touch.  God is always at work in the lives of people - both believers and non-believers.  The act of being an ambassador is to introduce non-believers to God.  God wants to use us through acts of kindness with no strings attached to make people aware that God knows them.
